This is a lovely time of year, when the selection of home-grown fruit and veg becomes wider and it’s easier to buy from some wonderful local growers. Did you know we offer a weekly organic fruit & veg box service? Call us on Monday and we’ll have one ready for you on Wednesday, to collect from the shop. Prices start at £18 for a medium box and contain fresh, seasonal produce.
A winter-favourite of ours! The very first of the English forced rhubarb comes from a 9-square-mile triangle in West Yorkshire. Kept in the dark for months, the rhubarb is a light crimson colour and more tender than the hardier outdoor variety. Perfect for crumbles and pies, or for simply stewing in orange juice and serving with some yoghurt.
